Lawrence "Larry" Nelson Jr.

Lawrence (Larry) Nelson, Jr., 75, of Angleton passed away on May 4, 2022, in Galveston. Larry began his life journey on October 6, 1946, in Erie, Pennsylvania. He was born to Lawrence E. and Gladys (Jobe) Nelson. On May 7, 1993, he married his best friend, Nancy, in Bay City, Texas. Outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, gardening, sport shooting, and roping were some of his favorite past times. Larry was also very talented with his woodworking. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and enjoyed frying fish for their fundraisers. Those that preceded him in death were his parents, Lawrence and Gladys Nelson. Left to treasure his memory is his wife Nancy Nelson; sister, Janet Green(Troy), children: Cindy Smith (Kenny), Gary Nelson (Mathira), Brian Scarborough (Cheryl), Jeff Scarborough (Charlotte), Laura Racioppo (Christopher); grandchildren: Tanner Nelson, Tristen Nelson (Alexandra), Jennifer Weber (Jake), Christopher Smith (Sarah), Cody Scarborough, Kathryne Ragan (James), Jordan Moyle (Sloan), Jonathan Case, Caroline Ferguson (Zack), Anna Marie Duym; great Grandchildren- Zander Nelson, Kylie Jo Weber, Lila Ruth Weber, Dustin Weber, Adeline Ray Ferguson.
