Lee Luker, a long-time resident of Brazoria county, went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, the 6th of August 2017, at the age of 87. She was born in 1929 in Victoria, Texas, to Levi Robert and Laura Hillyard. She grew up in Victoria, the youngest of five siblings, and graduated from Nazareth Academy. She found the love of her life, Ollie Luker and they were married on August 26, 1955. They spent their life on the Gulf Coast, mostly Brazoria county. After her husband's death in 1965, Lee selflessly raised her five children alone, sacrificing to give them everything they needed and more. She was actively involved in their lives as a softball coach, chaperone, bus driver to so many events, FFA supporter and overall cheering squad even throughout adulthood. She was an amazingly strong woman and the world's best Mom! She retired from Sweeny ISD, where she worked a dual role as bus driver and office manager for more than 20 years. Even in her later years, she really enjoyed meeting adults that had ridden her bus as children. Lee was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary 8551 West Brazos in Sweeny, Tx. She was very active, serving in various officer roles over the years and truly loved serving the veterans. Her hobbies included gardening, crocheting, baking pies and playing Bingo. She is survived by her five children, James Luker (wife Lois), Beth Masteller (husband Duane), Linda Heinicke (husband David), Roger Luker, and Donna Komlofske (husband Don); grandchildren, Robert Luker, Michael Sanders, Christopher Luker, Matthew Komlofske, Crystal Oden, Shannon Komlofske and Daniel Oden; seven great-grandchildren, Alex, Corban, Kaylee, Logun, Kaylin, Isaiah and Raina; many nieces and nephews; and "her girls" (puppy dogs) Bingo and Peewee, who meant the world to her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Luker; parents, Robert and Laura Hillyard; her three brothers, Leonard Hillyard, Benard Hillyard and Earl Hillyard; her sister, Dorothy Martin; and her son, LeRoy Luker. A Memorial service will be held on August 19, 2017 at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, with visitation at 10:00 and service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the following organizations: VFW Military Assistance Program (P.O. Box 15285, Austin, TX 78761), The Military Moms and Wives of Brazoria County (P.O.
