Lela Ann Perdue

Lela Ann Perdue of Angleton, passed from this life January 1, 2022, at the age of 90. She was born to Wyatt and Mattie Clay on November 26, 1931, in Jacksonville Texas. Ann's passion was caring for her family. She used her God given talents to grow the best vegetables and flower gardens. She canned those vegetables to prepare and share delicious meals for her family. She was an amazing seamstress making clothes and patching worn out jeans. Her family was her greatest joy. Ann is preceded in death by her husband Robert Neal "Barney" Perdue, her son Robert Wayne Perdue, parents and sisters Louise Whittenburg and Marie Loyd and son in law Alan Maynard. Survived by her daughter Gail Maynard; grandchildren Kurt Maynard and wife Michele children Trinity and Teagen Maynard. Beth Perdue Crain and husband Philip children Jay and Emily Crain. Jeff Maynard and wife Heather children Lauren and Grace Maynard and Lauren and Dylan Maust. Robert "Clint" Perdue and wife Nena children Camden and Cooper Perdue and Zyrion and Jonathan Mitchell along with several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Palms Funeral Home Wednesday January 5, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. Viewing will be held before services 8:30 to 9:30. Immediately following services she will be taken to Jarratt Cemetery in Jacksonville, Texas for burial at 3:00, to be laid to eternal rest next to her beloved husband and son. Rest in peace Nanny.
