Leonarda 'Nora' Whittington

Leonarda "Nora" Martinez Whittington passed away on August 8, 2018 at 102 and 8 months and 2 days. She leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters: Florence Adams Kane and Janie Adams De Jesus (George), three granddaughters Alexis Smith (Justin), Ashley and Alyssa De Jesus, two great-granddaughters Gwendolyn and Gabriella Smith, one sister, and numerous nieces and nephews. She resided most of her life in Freeport, Texas where she raised her two daughters. She was a caring and loving mother and grandmother. She worked hard all her life to provide for her family. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. ~ 11:00 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Church with a rosary at 10:30 and Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 with burial to follow at Hawley Cemetery, Blessing, Texas. Pallbearers will be Alyssa De Jesus, Ernest Lugo, Cruz Lugo, Justin Smith, Paul Fullmer and Charlie Torres. The family would like to thank the staff at Creekside Village Healthcare, John Westerfield, RN., and Dignity Hospice Care for the wonderful job they did in caring for their mother.
