Lester Glen Coats

On Monday, July, 7 2014 Lester Coats earned his wings at the age of 69 years old. He passed away at Herman Memorial Hospital in Houston, Texas from a brief illness. "A golden heart stopped beating that proves God only takes the best" Lester was born on May 15, 1945 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Robert and Emmaloyd Coats. He worked for Dow Chemical in Freeport, Texas for 33 years and retired in 2004. He is proceeded in death by his former wife and mother of his children; Elizabeth Coats, his mother in law Voncile Kuykendall, his parents Robert and Emmaloyd Coats; his brothers Roy and Ronnie Coats and his sister in law Darlena Moore. He is survived by his wife; Kay Coats of Angleton, his father in law Leroy Kuykendall of Jones Creek; his brother in laws Bobby and Chris Kuykendall of Jones Creek; his children Kelley (Andrea) Coats of Angleton; Leslie (Michael) Murders of West Columbia; Greg (Vicki) Coats of Angleton; Eric (Tiffany) Watson of Angleton and Krystal Stone of Angleton. His grandchildren Kayla Coats, Karla Coats, Brittany Murders, Ryan Murders, Tyler Coats, Keeton Stone, Chasity Garza, Morgan Coats, Kylie Stone and Riley Coats. He is also survived by one brother Junior (Rita) Coats of Shawnee, OK and one sister Virgina Greer of Shawnee, OK and many nieces and nephews that loved him very much. He also has three special friends he loved dearly Mike & Sandi Cowan and Ray Cuevas. Pallbearers will be Kelley Coats, Eric Watson, Michael Murders, Keeton Stone, Tyler Coats and Ryan Murders.
