Linda Nell Rouse

April 10, 1949 — October 16, 2017

In Loving Memory of Linda Nell Rouse April 10, 1949 ~ October 16, 2017 Linda Nell Rouse (Sapp) went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 16, 2017 at the age of 68 after a stroke. Linda was born on April 10, 1949 in Freeport, TX to James Burford Sapp and Clara Nell Lynch Sapp. She met the love of her life, Marty Rouse, at Clute Jr. High and married him after graduating from Brazosport High School in 1967. After they were married they moved to Angleton, TX where they built a house and she made it into a home where she would spend the rest of her life. They welcomed a daughter, Kellie, in 1979. Her and Marty loved to raise dogs, horses, donkeys, pigeons and goats. Linda was the perfect example of the Proverbs 31 woman. She was an excellent housekeeper, volunteered at Kellie's schools, taught Sunday School, directed VBS, and ministered to everyone she came in contact with. She loved taking care of her family and always put their needs above her own. She was known as Meme to her five grandchildren whom she loved, cherished, and was so proud of. She had a huge impact on raising them and shaping their lives. She taught them about God's love and forgiveness. She will always be remembered as a sweet, kind lady who served the Lord and loved serving others. Linda is preceded in death by her father, James Sapp. She is survived by her mother, Clara Nell Sapp, her husband of 50 years, Martin Gene Rouse, their daughter, Kellie Suzanne Fisk and husband Jerame, grandchildren Macy Fondon, Jonah Fondon, Dillon Fisk, Tristan Fisk, and Sebastian Fisk; brothers Sam Sapp (Cathy) and Craig Sapp (Freida); brother-in- law Steve Rouse (Michelle), sisters- in-law Evelyn Lennon (Gary), Linda Collins (Darrell), and Dianne Dobson (Junior); and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved so much. The family would like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses at CHI St Luke's and Houston Hospice for their loving care.
