Lisa Vasek

Lisa Claire (Jurasin) Vasek, 62, of Freeport, Texas passed away on May 13, 2021 while surrounded by her loving family. Lisa was born in Durango, Colorado on February 4, 1959 to Andrew and Mary Jo (Henry) Jurasin. She was a graduate of Westchester Senior High School in 1977. Lisa married the love of her life on June 2, 1979. Steve and Lisa were blessed with two beautiful children: Stephen Vasek and wife Lindsey and Kristie Vasek; siblings: Tammy Schmitt and Greg Jurasin; grandchildren: Addison and Drake Vasek; and numerous other family members and friends. All of those who had the luxury of meeting Lisa immediately knew that she was a one of a kind who prided herself on honesty and hard work. Lisa was a trail blazer in many aspects of life especially in the boating community. She could work circles around most men and her immense knowledge of painting and boat restoration was heavily relied on throughout the community. Lisa was a passionate woman who lived her life to the fullest. She truly put her heart and soul into everything that she did. Words cannot describe how she impacted the lives of many and she will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 21 at 2:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service following at 3:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Lester officiating.
