Lois Lorena Johnston

Lois Lorena (Rena) Johnston, 86, of Brazoria County Texas, passed away Friday evening, December 13th. She was born November 30, 1927. She was married for 41 years to Oliver Vance Johnston (d). Rena graduated business school and over the years worked as church secretary, cabinet maker, business owner, and Astroworld employee. She was an accomplished seamstress and avid crocheter who loved travelling and camping across the United States. She was a great person that had a great life, always caring for others more than herself. She is survived by three children: William O. Johnston, Gary W. Johnston and Mary Lois Johnston; three grandchildren: Lauren Leah Fiber, Hannah Casey Johnston and Paul Douglas Pearson; and a great-grandchild: Rachel Marie Pearson. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Helen James, and a brother-in-law, Troy Todd, along with many cousins. Tentative service plans are: Memorial Wednesday, December 18, at 3 pm for family, 4 to 6 pm for the public, and the service at 6 pm at Palms Funeral Home at 2300 E Hwy. 35, Angleton, TX 77515. The funeral will be held at National Cemetery in Arlington, Tx Friday, December 20, at 11:15 am.
