Lonnie Koepp Brown

March 18, 1923 — July 24, 2020

Lonnie Koepp Brown, 97, of Angleton, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2020. She was born on March 18, 1923 in San Antonio, Texas to Ernst and Erna Koepp. She met the love of her life, Cleyborne Brown, and was married for 28 years until the time of his death in 1970. Together they raised four daughters. Lonnie loved her Lord and was a faithful servant in the church from the time she started Sunday School at Highland Park Evangelical Lutheran Church in San Antonio, TX. Lonnie's love for Christ was instilled in each of her daughters and has been passed down to a tribe of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 1 Corinthians 13, the love chapter, best describes our Mother. Kind, patient, hopeful but above all loving. Lonnie's life has been a reflection of her love for Christ. She has been a light to her family and a solid rock of faith through all of our trials. We have been covered by her prayers and always given unconditional love. Lonnie was a talented seamstress spending hours behind her sewing machine, a crochet hook or embroidery needle in her hand. She had a love for gardening which showed with her beautiful flowers. Even with all of her talents her family came first and foremost. She was a loving Mother and a tender, loving Grandmother to so many children. Lonnie especially loved children and was always readily available to read, play, tickle or spend hours on the phone catching up with unending patience. Her unforgettable smile and beauty was matched by a gentle spirit that was a light to so many. God seeks ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Lonnie is one of these people. Bis wir uns wiedersehen, suBe Mutter. Wir Liebe Dich - Until we meet again sweet Mother, We love you. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleyborne Brown, her parents, Ernst and Erna Koepp, daughter, Sandra Hartzog, sister, Lorraine Blackwell, granddaughter, Jennifer Moore and grandson, Patrick Hartzog.
