Louise B Hillier

Louise Marie (Bederka) Hillier, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 11, 2019. She was born in Eastgate, Texas, on April 27, 1936 to Anton and Mary (Zavada) Bederka. Louise is preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Mary; sister, Mary Ann Bederka Graves; brothers, Alfred Alan Bederka, Joseph John Bederka, Ray Henry Bederka, Billy Earl Bederka, Charles Lee Bederka, and Jimmy Louis Bederka. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Ben Rachunek; daughter, Jodi Sheffield and husband, Don; sons, Glen Hillier and wife, Karen, Brian Hillier and wife, Deanna, Paul Hillier; brother, Curtis Bederka; grandchildren, Matt Sheffield and wife, Chelsea, Kendall Hegarty, Kristian Hillier, Tyler Hillier, Aaron Hillier, Mary Hillier, Nicholas Hillier, Cole Hillier, Macie Hillier; great grandchildren, Elise, Tyler, Colton, Ryder; and a host of other family and dear friends. When her children were young, Louise spent time coaching her daughter's softball teams. She enjoyed bowling, dancing and playing bingo whenever possible. She worked as a legal secretary for the Brazoria County District Attorney's office for many years until she retired and went to work as the Office Manager for defense attorney, Michael Echevarria. She eventually retired again and moved to Brazoria with her husband, Ben. She loved taking trips to Coushatta and playing cards and dominoes with family and friends. In retirement, Louise spent her time relaxing with her husband and her little dog, Bebe, watching the Texans, cheering on the Astros, and enjoying summer evenings on her peaceful country porch. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a memorial donation be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org. A visitation for Louise will take place at Palms Funeral Home, 2300 E Mulberry, Angleton, Texas 77515, on Friday, February 15, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A private family graveside service will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church Cemetery in Eastgate, Texas, on Saturday, February 16, 2019, where Louise will be laid to rest beside her parents.
