Louise Mary (Griesemer) Prazak, of Angleton, Texas passed from this life to her eternal rest with our Lord on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at the age of 82. Louise was born on March 24, 1938 in West Allis, Wisconsin to William and Rose Anna (Graf) Griesemer. She graduated in 1956 from Jefferson High School in Jefferson, Wisconsin, and went to work at Allis Chalmers in Milwaukee where she met her future husband, Matthew Prazak. She and Matthew were married on June 18, 1960 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sullivan, Wisconsin. After their marriage, they moved to north Texas, and eventually settled in Angleton. She later worked for Angleton ISD in the cafeteria for many years to be closer to her sons until her retirement. Louise and Matt were parishioners of St. Basil and Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Angleton, as well as St. Faustina Catholic Church during the past few years in Richmond. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Rose (Eddie) Igl, and brothers Dennis Griesemer, Bernie Griesemer, Wayne Griesemer and Gary Griesemer, and her granddaughter, Anna Brauchi. Louise is survived by her husband, Matthew of Angleton, Texas, as well as sons, Willie (Jo Anna) of Campbellsport, Wisconsin; Michael (Juanita) of Castroville, Texas; Raymond (Deb) of Terrell, Texas; and James (Vonda) of Richmond, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Cordelia Page and son Dylan; Charlie Prazak; Tracy (Leslie) Hackney and children Watt and Will; Joel (Mary) Brauchi and son Lance; Stephanie Howell and sons Hunter and Montana; Catherine Prazak (Lincoln Avant); Michael Prazak Jr.; Jasmin Salinas; Karina (Wes) Barlow and children Jack, Nick, and Clem; Mitch Thomas (Norma Davis); Ali (Stephen) Spealman and daughter Mandy; Patrick (Amanda) Prazak; Meagan Prazak; and Kaitlin Prazak. She is also survived by her siblings, Bill Griesemer of Green Bay, Wisconsin; Karen (Joe) Benkowski of The Villages, Florida; Bob (Donna) Griesemer of Waukesha, Wisconsin; and Sister-in-Laws Pat Griesemer of Campbellsport, Wisconsin; and Hazel Prazak of Wharton, Texas, along with a host of nephews and nieces that she loved with her whole heart. Pall Bearers will be Willie Prazak, Michael Prazak, Raymond Prazak, James Prazak, Michael Prazak, Jr., and Patrick Prazak. Due to COVID-19, private services for the family will be held at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Angleton, Texas on Wednesday, September 2, 2020. The Rosary will be recited at 1 pm, Mass at 1:30 pm, and Burial at the Angleton Cemetery immediately following the Mass. The Rosary and Mass will be live streamed on the Facebook page of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. A memorial service is planned for a later date after conditions allow.
