Lydia Dolores Jones

Lydia Dolores Jones, 59, of Angleton passed away on December 27, 2021, in Katy, Texas. Lydia was born on November 20, 1962, in Reno, Nevada, to parents Jack and Alma (Baeza) Jones. Lydia was a 1981 graduate of Angleton High School, loved playing the saxophone, and being in the marching band. Lydia worked for Dow and Olin Chemical Companies for 29 years prior to her retirement. Lydia loved riding her motorcycle and enjoyed spending time on Galveston Island and The Strand. She loved Tex-Mex and live music, as well as a variety of books and movies. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and lively laugh. Lydia was preceded in death by her father, Jack Jones, her mother, Alma (Baeza) Bond, and her stepfather Charles Bond. Survivors include her stepmother, Doylene Jones, stepbrother, Cody Cole, stepsister, Mandy Reed, beloved neighbors, the Rodriguez family, as well as many dear cousins and friends. A visitation for Lydia will take place at Palms Funeral Home on Friday, December 31, 2021, from 1 pm to 2 pm. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm. Interment will be at Angleton Cemetery.
