Lynndell Harris Vickers

Lyndell Harris Vickers, 87, of Lake Jackson passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Brazosport Memorial Hospital. Funeral services are set for 12:00 noon Saturday, January 5, 2013 in the Palms Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Gary Thornton of 2nd Baptist Church of Lake Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Danbury Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Mr Vickers was born June 15, 1925 in Milam, Texas to Milton & Etta Jane Spears Vickers. He served in the US Army from 1943 until 1946, and had lived in Lake Jackson since 1949. He was a member of 2nd Baptist Church of Lake Jackson and retired from Southwest Solvents. His parents & brother, Conrad Vickers preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lena Vickers, his son Lynn Vickers & daughter-in-law Sherri Linder all of Lake Jackson and # 1 granddaughter; Breanna Lee Vickers, special friend, Jim Pohlmeyer and Cowboy, his companion. Pallbearers will be Chad Sanders, Chase Sanders, Wayne Cothron, Cornelius Murchison, Louie Ducros & Hayman Dengler. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of 2nd Baptist Church of Lake Jackson and Craig Kennon. The family would like to say a special Thank You to Ashley Gadd & Sherri Baird with Bethany Home Health Care for their loving care.
