Marciel Degges Davis, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday October 22, 2018 at CHI Saint Luke's Lake Jackson Hospital. She was born on July 6, 1926 and was raised in Crossett, Arkansas. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 25, 2018 from 2-4 at Palms Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday October 26, 2018 at Palms with burial following in the Angleton Cemetery. Marciel received her Bachelor's degree from Arkansas A & M College, which later became the University of Arkansas at Monticello. She went on to obtain her Masters of Education degree at East Texas State University. Her teaching career began in Aldine prior to moving to Angleton. She was employed by Angleton ISD as a 4th grade teacher for 29 years. She was also a long time member of First Baptist Church of Angleton. Marciel is survived by her husband Harold, sons Rodney and wife Cindy and Markel all of Angleton; sister Eva Morgan; grandchildren Emily Dowty and husband Corey, Brenton Davis and wife Heather and Aaron Davis and wife Abby; grandchildren Jackson, Adaleigh, Mason and Weston Dowty and Elizabeth, Laura, Carson, Delaney and Branson Davis.
