Margaret Ann 'Peggy' Salaika

September 30, 1953 — June 2, 2013

Margaret "Peggy" Ann Salaika, 59, of Danbury, Texas, was called to the Lord, before her time, on the evening of June 2, 2013. Peggy was born and raised in Massillon, Ohio, where she was an Honors Graduate from The Central Catholic High School in 1972, and a member of the Canton Glee Club. She graduated from the Aultman Hospital School of Nursing in Ohio in 1976 and began a successful nursing career as a Registered Nurse. In March of 1978 she moved with her husband to Texas. In December of 1979, they settled in the town of Danbury, where she would become Vice President of the company she helped her husband build, Salaika Aviation, LLC. She later attained her Bachelorette's in Nursing in the fall of 2006 at Texas Tech University. A hardworking, loving, kind, sweet, understanding, forgiving, funny, and fun to be around person, her life was filled with much love and daily activities. She had strong faith and was an active member in her Catholic Church, Most Holy Trinity, in Angleton, Texas. She was a SCUBA diver. She was treasurer for many years for the Brazoria County Car Club, and helped participate in many car shows. She was Vice President of the Texas Nurses Association. She was an active member at the Angleton Recreation Center. She currently worked at the Country Village Nursing Home and was the Nurse Quality Consultant for the Quality Monitoring Program for the State of Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services. Being greatly loved and with many friends, she will deeply be missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Timothy A. Salaika, and son, Timothy J. Salaika, her parents, John G. and Anne M. Schneider, her brothers, Tony Schneider, John Schneider, Joel Schneider, and sister, Andrea Schneider. She is preceded in death by her sister, Natalie Schneider. The visitation will be held at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Angleton, Texas on Thursday June 13, 2013 at 10:00AM with the Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00AM and a Luncheon to follow at Noon.
