Of

Maria DeLeon Juarez

January 27, 1952 ~ December 3, 2023

Maria De Leon Juarez, 71, of Angleton, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, peacefully departed this world on December 3, 2023, in Angleton, Texas surrounded by her family.

Born on January 27, 1952, Maria was a proud resident of Brazoria County for over 50 years, immersing herself in the vibrant local community and leaving an indelible mark on those who knew her. Maria's unwavering faith in God, as a devoted Catholic and member of Most Holy Catholic Church in Angleton, grounded her throughout her life.

Maria embraced the role of homemaking with grace and filled her home with love and warmth. Her passion for cooking was unparalleled, and her annual Thanksgiving Dinner became a cherished tradition, bringing family and friends together. Her culinary skills were legendary, delighting all who were fortunate enough to savor her mouthwatering dishes.

Beyond her culinary talents, Maria enjoyed playing computer games and Bingo, providing hours of amusement and friendly competition. She had a zest for life and cherished every moment spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Whether it was creating lasting memories during summers spent at the beach or engaging in family activities, Maria's unconditional love and nurturing spirit were evident to all.

Maria's adventurous spirit led her to explore new places, with travel and fishing being among her favorite pastimes. She reveled in the simplicity of nature, finding solace in the peacefulness of a quiet fishing trip and the joy of spending time surrounded by the beauty of her surroundings. A true "Country Girl" at heart, she found immense joy in the outdoors.

Maria epitomized resilience, strength, and love. Her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her surviving relatives, including her loving husband, Benny Juarez, Jr., her children: Jimmie Juarez, Sr., Bennie Juarez, III., and Becky Nichols (husband, Kevin) and her 7 grandchildren.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents: Jesus and Angelita DeLeon, her brothers: Albert DeLeon and Seberto DeLeon and her sister, Angel DeLeon.

A funeral service to commemorate Maria's life will be held at Palms Funeral Home on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. The Family welcome’s friends for a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time.
