Maria Longoria left this earthly realm on April 24th, 2022, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 72 years young. Maria was born in Taft, Texas in 1950 into a large and loving family. She was surrounded by 6 siblings and was influenced by them and her parents to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others, which she incorporated into her motherhood and her friendships. Maria was full of life and full of humor, never taking life too seriously. She soon became everyone's favorite Tia and was quick with a joke to keep everyone laughing. She never missed her daily phone calls with each one of her sisters and loved to talk for the simple joy of having a conversation. It would be wrong to say that Maria lost her battle with cancer because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined and in good spirits. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Maria. Just because she is no longer here does not mean that she lost her fight. Maria died in her home surrounded in love by her 3 children, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren. Maria is survived by her children, Jose and Cynthia Longoria, Monica Adame & Desiree Castillo, Fabian & Cynthia Adame, Sr.; 8 Grandchildren and 1 Great Granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents Fabian & Felicitas Longoria, sister Eudosia Perez and brother-in-law Margarito Rendon.
