Marion Spencer Weindorff

Marion Spencer Weindorff, 76, of Danbury passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 at her home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016 in the Palms Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery. Marion was born August 29, 1939 in Breckenridge, Texas to Forrest & Velma Estelle Montgomery Smith. She married Gene Spencer in 1954 and moved to Angleton in 1956. Marion worked as a bookkeeper for Times Printers & Stationers for 29 years. She was a member of Business & Professional Women, the Red Hat Society and served on the Angleton Cemetery Board. As a member of First Assembly of God Church under the pastorate of Rev Gene Nicely she was very active as Praise & Worship Leader, Sunday School Teacher and Children's Church Leader. She was a volunteer at Northside Elementary in Angleton, a Girl Scout Leader and coach for the Panthers Softball Team in Angleton. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gene in 2000 and sister; Betty Smith Holcomb. Survivors include her husband Ben Weindorff, whom she married in 2008, her children; Jan Spencer Jackson & husband Randy of Angleton & Gene H. Spencer, Jr & wife Jana of Houston. Step-Children; Kevin Weindorff & Karin Weindorff both of Danbury & Kirk Weindorff of Longview. Brother, Farest A. Smith of Angleton. Granchildren; Amie Jackson Wainwright & husband Paul of Dripping Springs, Randy Mac Jackson, Jr. & wife Shannon , Kristi Jackson Fregia & husband Cory both of Angleton, Jason Spencer, Jana Munguia, Sami Spencer Howe & husband Chris all of Houston & Benjamin & Katherine Weindorff of Longview. 14 Great-Grandchildren; Paul Michael Wainwright, Garett Wainwright, Jaxon Wainwright, Christian Wainwright, Baylee Jackson, Caleb Jackson, Sawyer Jackson, Cole Jackson, Randi Lynn Fregia, Nicolas Vargaz, Michael Vargaz, Joseph Trevino, Penelope Spencer & Caliope Howe.
