Martha Louella 'Lou Ella' Norman

Martha Lou Ella Norman, age 81, was called Home to be with the Lord on October 5, 2016 after battling for several months with diabetic complications. Martha was born February 15, 1935 to Levi and Eula Mae Wheat in Bay City, Texas. On any given afternoon she could be found sorting through knick-knacks at thrift stores and scouring garage sales for her weekly finds on the weekends. When not out shopping, she enjoyed reading and cooking at home. Martha loved her children to the ends of the earth and lived for her grandchildren. There was nothing she enjoyed more than a visit from family. Surviving her are sisters Edna Mae Davis, Leona Zamora, and Loretta Shepard; daughters Cheryl Stahl (Joe), Patricia Carter (Harold), Donna Price (Ron), and son Cartlon Norman (Susie). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents, brother Edgar Wheat, sisters Juanita Shepard, and Katie Harvey; granddaughter Crystal Carter; and special friend Mike Reeves. A memorial service will be held at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 10:30 am. Services fulfilled by the caring staff at Palms Funeral Home.
