In Loving Memory of Marvin Neil Burns October 20, 1925 ~ November 15, 2016 Marvin Neil Burns, 91, of Angleton, Texas passed away on November 15, 2016. He was born in Searcy, Arkansas on October 20, 1925 to George Dewey Burns and Daisy Toby Burns. Marvin served in WWII on Aircraft Carrier Belleau Wood from 1943 - 1945. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Daisy Burns, brothers A.G. and Billy Paul, nephews Alan Dale Burns and Bert Milton Burns, and his niece Patricia Burns. Left to cherish Marvin's memory is his loving wife of 71 years Georgie Burns; daughters Lynn Rodgers and husband Robert, Carol Jackson and Husband David, Judy Benge and husband Nathan; son-in-law Harold (Gabe) Broussard and wife Gail; grandchildren Stephen Rodgers and wife Glencora, Amy Goff, Colten Jackson and wife Payton, Laurie Bazar and husband Jeremy, Kelley Reid and husband Justin, Toby Neil Broussard and wife Dana, Cody Bryon Broussard and wife April, Gus Bazar, Jake Bazar, Hagen Reid, Kenzie Lynn Reid, Wesley Jackson, Sarah Jackson, Braden Sexton, Brodie Sexton, Kodie Jo Sexton; great grandchildren Livia Rodgers, Will Rodgers, Hailey Broussard, Conner Broussard, Tandie Wade Broussard, Michael Teal; and one great great grandchild Slade Jackson. Services will be held Friday, November 18, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Angleton, Texas. The visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the funeral service starting at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements being fulfilled by the caring staff at Palms Funeral Home.
