Mary Greer Blice

Mary Torrie Blice , 96, of Angleton, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April, 11, 2012. Born on December 2, 1915 Galsgow, Scottland she was the daughter of George and Annie Torrie. Mary and her family immigrated to Youngstown, OH in 1922 where she graduated from high school and later married her husband Frank Blice. She was active in her church and sports and was commonly known by family and friends as Scottie. Mary was a dedicated wife and mother of two children. She held various jobs from secretary in Youngstown, OH to dorm mother in Sterling, KS. After being widowed in 1967, as family was her main priority, she spent most of her time traveling to be with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as often as she could. She spent the last 30 years in Angleton enjoying life, her family and her church. Mary was a devout Christian, her faith beyond reproach, and proud member of the Northway Baptist Church in Angleton. She is survived by her daughter Annette Savvas of Athens, Greece; Grandson, Spiro Savvas and wife Christina of Delray Beach, FL, Athanasia Kavvadias and husband Thomas, Marianna Makrides and husband Alexander all of Athens, Greece; Grandson Jeff Blice and wife Danielle of Katy, TX; Grandaughter Amy Blice of Hattiesburg, MS; Grandaughter Mandy Papa and husband Joe of Anna, TX; Grandson Joshua Blice of Houston, TX; Grandson Chris Brannan and wife Christine of Mustang, OK; Great Grandchildren Shonna, Derek, Ryan, Hayden, Logan, Zachary, Gabe, McKynlee, Joanna, Georgia and Jason Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Blice1967, her son Carl Blice 2008 and grandson Jaydee Blice in 2009 Her wishes to not have a memorial service have been respected.
