Maryetta Craig, 82, of Clute passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 in Baytown, Texas A Celebration of her life will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Clute, Texas at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2014. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will be in Trinity, Texas. Mrs. Craig was born May 25, 1932 in Trinity, Texas to Harry & Marie Jurgensen. She moved to Clute in 1943 and graduated from Freeport Senior High School in 1949. She married Joe Arnold Craig from Jones Creek, Texas in 1950. She had lived in Clute for 71 years. Having a very social personality, Mrs. Craig made many friends while working at a variety of jobs. She is remembered as a Tupperware dealer as well as a cashier at Bottom Dollar, K-Mart and Central Auto Parts. She had been active in Clute Jaycees-ettes and Brazoria County Rescue Squad. Her Parents and Husband preceded her in death Survivors include her children, Brenda Craig McManus and husband Charles of Liberty & Lamar Craig and wife Yami of Brazoria. Grandchildren, Cassi McManus Graves, Mandi McManus Read, Joe Arnold Lamar Craig, Yamilett Sherrill and Louis Cassells. Great-Grandchildren, Jacey Read, Don Craig Read, Meagan Davis, Drew Graves, Curt Graves, Sammy Cassells & Yamiris Cassells. Nieces & Nephews, Marion Coleman Spence, Anita Coleman Gilbert, Maurice Coleman, Lynn Coleman & Debbie Coleman Ratcliff.
