Merlene Foyt, 77 of Danbury, was born April 5, 1935 and passed away Monday, September 24, 2012. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Palms Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Palms with Brother David Smith to officiate. Burial will follow in the Danbury Cemetery. Merlene was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester Foyt; daughter, Billie Jean Gaston; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Foyt; and her parents. She is survived by her children, Sherri Foyt of Danbury, Gywn Glidden and husband, Steve of Danbury, Ricky Foyt of Danbury, Jenea Berg of Pearland, James Ross of Brady, TX, Janet Ross of Angleton and Debbie Naber of Philadelphia; sister, Janette Smith; grandchildren, Michael Scarborugh, Aaron Naber, Mandy and Heather Trammel, Jamie Shannon, Josh, David and Danny Ross, Shelby & Stevie Glidden, Zachary, Jacob & Emmitt Foyt, Joseph King and numerous great grandchildren.
