It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Paul Romero, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and a respected veteran of the United States Air Force. Michael passed away peacefully on October 31, 2023.
Michael was born on September 4, 1945, to parents Wallace and Dula (Vincent) Romero, He lived a remarkable life filled with unwavering dedication, honor, and selflessness. From a young age, he displayed a profound love for his country, which led him to proudly serve in the United States Air Force.
Michael was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Pauline Romero, whom he lovingly shared his life and journey with. They married August 30, 1969, in Delcambre, Louisiana. They started their home in New Iberia and later moved to Texas and have resided in Brazoria County for thirty-six years.
His nurturing spirit and wise outlook on life provided comfort and inspiration to those fortunate enough to have known him. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Betty.
Left to treasure his memory is his wife, Pauline; children: Russ Romero of Angleton, P.J. Romero and wife Tiffany of Mont Belvieu, Zachary Romero of Austin; brother Harold Romero; and granddaughter Haylee.
Though we mourn Mike's passing, we also celebrate the incredible legacy he leaves behind. His unwavering devotion to his country and his unconditional love for his family will forever be etched in our hearts.
