After a long battle and many years of health problems, Miriam L. Nunalee, 78, went to see the Lord she has longed to see on January 8, 2019. She was a loving daughter born on March 18, 1940 to James and Effie Driggers of Brunswick Georgia. Miriam was a surviving twin. Her twin brother died at birth. Her love for Jesus was so strong that she would witness to everyone she spoke with. Her bible was her most favorite and most cherished book. Praise and worship music made her fell like Heaven was right there with her. She adored her friends she made at her resident nursing home. She had a love and compassion for those she was around. She loved dominos, Yahtzee, Sorry, and many other games. She could play you under the table. You would always see her in a hat; she loved them. If you showed up with a hat for her, you were her friend for life. Each hat was embellished with a brooch. She loved that bling-bling. She was so funny and she was so much fun to be around. The world has lost a wonderful wife, a great daughter, loving mother, and a caring friend. Miriam was preceded in death by her parents, and one grandchild, Eric R. Cretsinger. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Virgil E. Nunalee; 5 children, Cheryl D. Anderson, Valrie J Edwards, Janet N. Carroll, Karen Powell, and Virgil D. Nunalee; as well as 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. We will miss her laughter, her smile, her strength, and her love for people, until we see her again in Heaven. At Miriam's request, there will be a viewing service only on Saturday, January 12, 2019, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home. No graveside service will be held.
