Mitchell Ray NeSmith, Sr. 88, of Houston, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 in Pasadena, Texas. He was born on June 27, 1927 to Radford & Lucy Mae (Johnson) NeSmith in Bedias, Texas. He was a United States Army veteran who proudly served his country. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. in the Bedias Baptist Cemetery in Bedias, Texas. Mitchell was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalee NeSmith, daughter, Sharon Gay Steinbach, son, Jimmy Lee NeSmith, brothers; Elmer, Doyle, James, Ervin, & Howard NeSmith, and his sisters; Jewel Millstid, Louise James, and Vernice Ellisor. Survivors include his children; Mitchell NeSmith, Jr. (Kay) of Houston, Texas, Linda NeSmith (Don Null) of Brazoria, Texas, and Carolyn Wellmann (Charles) of Navasota, Texas, brothers; Wilbur NeSmith, John NeSmith, Charles NeSmith, Bobby NeSmith, Billy NeSmith,, sisters; Kitty Raymond, Jessie Douthitt, & Janie Sue Stratton, and his grandchildren; Marsha Wellmann, Elizabeth Matchett, Mitchell Leon Ne Smith, Keith Inglehart, Chris Inglehart, Mindy Carney, Crystal Steinbach, and William Wellmann, as well as, 8 great-grandchildren.
