Monica Rose Jenkins

Monica Rose Marquez Jenkins passed away October 3, 2013 in Houston, TX after a lengthy illness. She was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska October 2, 1964. She grew up in Statesville, North Carolina and attended West Iredell High School. She worked several years then moved to Houston, TX in 2003. She was a very hard working and dedicated person, usually working in a supervisory/management capacity. She was very friendly with a big smile and laugh and a heart to match. She was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her mother and father, Gloria Marquez Schanaman of Scottsbluff, NE and Victor Paul Marquez and wife Linda of Dobson, North Carolina; one sister, Denise Marquez McGrady and husband Kenny of Traphill, NC; one brother, Victor Paul Marquez" and Gayle, one niece Hailey Lauren Marquez, one nephew, Hayden Paul Marquez, all of Angleton, TX; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Frank and Louise Marquez; her maternal grandparents, Bernard and Richardis Wlaschin all of Scottsbluff, NE; several uncles, aunts, and cousins. A celebration of life will be held at a future date in Scottsbluff, NE.
