Nolia B. Landry, 96, of Oyster Creek Texas passed away comfortably Wednesday, August 9, 2023 in Angleton Texas with her four daughters by her side. Nolia was born Nolia Boudoin in Maurice Louisiana, June 18, 1927 to parents Drozien Boudoin and Evena Thibodeaux. She married her sweetheart and love of her life, Robert Ray (Bobby) Landry on November 9, 1947 and had four beautiful daughters, Judy, Rayetta, Debra and Lisa. Nolia and Bobby moved their family to Oyster Creek on September 30, 1964 from Kaplan Louisiana. A few years after her beloved husband passed away Nolia found love again with Joe Martinez and were married on January 4, 2001. Nolia worked as a hairdresser for 42 years working in several beauty shops until she opened her own shop in Oyster Creek called Nolia's Beauty Shop. This was only one of the many hats Nolia wore throughout her life. She worked for Trappey's Canning Factory, Curts Department Store both in her home state of Louisiana. She worked as a bartender and waitress at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Three Brothers Grocery Store in Freeport, A newspaper carrier for both the Brazosport Facts and Houston Chronical. Nolia loved cooking, her family & friends often brag it was the best Cajun food, hands down, and they would be right. She loved her family more than anything in the world and babysat several of her grandchildren and great grandchildren for years before they attended school.

Nolia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Landry, husband Joe Martinez, Son in Law Ricky Staggs, Daughter in Law Jae Barkalow, Granddaughter Tammi Guidry-Hawkins, bonus daughter Ruth Martinez, bonus grandson Gregg Tedder.

She is survived by her children, Judy Landry, Rayetta Guidry (Louis) Debby Staggs(Lou) and Lisa Tracy (Troy) her siblings, sisters Louise Vincent, Theresa Trahan (Lloyd), Jan Perrin (Jess) and brother Dudley Boudoin and Sister in Law Elaine Landry. Grandchildren Sheri Riojas, Robert Sanderson, Kade Sanderson (Candace), Kevin Staggs (Ashton) and Landry Tracy. Great Grandchildren Dylan Guidry, Kaylea Gonzalez (Fabricio) Brayden and Lane Sanderson, Robert and Matthew Riojas and Hudson Staggs. GreatGreat Grandchildren Naya and Nala Gonzalez. Bonus children Rey Martinez, Roy Martinez, Randy Martinez, Rodney Martinez, Rudy Martinez, Rose Tedder, Rachel Martinez, Ruby Martinez, and Roby Joe Martinez. Nolia was also blessed with a large extended family of nieces and nephews in both Texas and Louisiana.

A private family viewing will be held from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, with open visitation from 5:00 pm to 7:00pm and rosary beginning at 7:00pm at Palms Funeral Home, 2300 East Highway 35, Angleton Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, August 17, 2023 with burial to follow at Angleton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kade Sanderson, Kevin Staggs, Dylan Guidry, Brayden Sanderson, Lane Sanderson and Dudley Boudoin. Honorary pallbearers are Louis Guidry, Troy Tracy, Robert Sanderson, Lou Krampota, Robert Riojas, Matthew Riojas, Tyler Retzloff and Fabricio Gonzalez.
