Norma Rae Garner On December 20, 1924, Norma Rae was born to William Ray Webber and Mary Leona Estelle Webber in Texas City, Texas, died on June 16, 2013 at Creekside Village Home Health Care. Norma was a beautiful housewife, mother, and memaw to 10 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren. Funeral service is set for Friday June 21, 2013 at 1:00p.m. at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Angleton, Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday June 20, 2013 at Palms Funeral Home from 6-7:00pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. Survivors include daughters; Sheila Noland of Pennsylvania, Judy Jo DeVries and husband Henry of Angleton, sons; Bob "Butch" Garner and wife Nadine of Austwell, Texas, and Randy Garner and wife Aldra of Angleton, step children; Charlotte Elliott and Danny Garner of Indiana, Sister ; Ginger Hirsch of Dale, Texas and sister in law Ethel Webber of Giddings, Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her Husband Ernest "Pete" Garner, sisters; Pearl Ponder, Mary Dobie, brother; Linder Webber, parents and step father Jim Moore. Norma was a member of Catholic Daughters Association, Alter society for church, and Actions in Action. She also worked with her husband at Boot/Shoe Sadler in Bellville, Hearne, and Hitchcock areas. Norma was also a seamstress, played the piano/organ for the Catholic Church wherever she was. Mother you were there, "Taking on the challenge of life day-to-day and where we go you can be sure In Spirit you shall never be alone. For where you are is what matters most to us because to us that will always be home." Thank you for sharing your love, gentle spirit and the wisdom of your heart. We love you MOM very much and we'll miss you, always. Serving as pallbearers; Henry DeVries, Bob Furch, Gene Giraud, Earl Taft, Butch Garner and Randy Garner, Honorary pallbearers; Brent Garner, Pete Garner, Vince Strickland and Richard Rachunek. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church or A-Med on Cedar Street in Angleton. Services are being conducted by Palms Funeral Home.
