Oscar Solis

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Oscar Solis, 75, of Freeport, TX, on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. He was born on November 1, 1947, in McAllen, TX, the only boy of 4 children to parents Encarnation Soliz and Consuelo Solis-Contreras. Visitation services will be 5 pm-7 pm Sunday, June 11th at Palms Funeral Home, 2300 East Mulberry in Angleton. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 12th, 2023, at 1 pm at Palms Funeral Home with a eulogy by Jaime Moreno. Maximo Moreno Jr. will be officiating services. Burial will follow at Angleton cemetery. Those that proceeded him at death are parents Encarnation Soliz, Consuelo Contreras and Sister Olga Rivera of Alice, TX Oscar will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Yolanda Solis, and sisters Elena Banda of Edinburg, TX, and Rosaura Gamboa of McAllen, TX. Oscar and Yolanda recently celebrated their 51st anniversary on December 18th. Together they had 4 children, Oscar Solis Jr. (Marie Chapman), Juan Gabriel Solis (Trang Tran), Consuelo Solis (Damond Peoples), & Yesenia Solis Ordonez (Mario Ordonez); 14 grandchildren, Corey Matusek, Austin Chapman, Micha Cantrell, John Gabriel Solis, Jasmine Solis, Saydi Peoples, Ariana Solis, Brianna Peoples, Jazelyn Peoples, Viviana Peoples, Sydney Peoples, Alyssa Ordonez, Marcus Ordonez, Rickey Ordonez, and numerous nieces and nephews.
