Patrick Riley "Pat" Hammond

Patrick (Pat) Riley Hammond of Angleton passed away on May 16, 2021 at the age of 64. Pat will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of 24 years, Angela. He is survived by his children, Dillon and his wife Christina, Trent, Riley, Robyn and her husband Brice, and Jarrett; his father-in-law, CJ Lycka; his grandchildren, Nina, Leah, Levi, and Ellery; and numerous family and friends. Pat was born on January 29, 1957 in Angleton, TX to Bill and Amy Hammond. Growing up in Snipe, he enjoyed marching band, canoe races, and snow skiing. He was proud to be an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Angleton High School, then attended Texas Tech University until he returned home to farm rice with his dad. In 1985, he began farming for TDCJ. Under his management, the farms at the Darrington and Wayne Scott units flourished for over 35 years. He loved fishing, hunting, and grilling for a crowd. He was devoted to his family, his farm, and his cattle. A visitation is scheduled for Monday, May 24 from 12-2 pm at Palms Funeral Home. Service Details.
