It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Patty Jo Robertson, who entered eternal rest on March 14, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on December 1, 1947, in Sedalia, Missouri. She graced this world for 77 wonderful years.
Patty was the beloved daughter of Worth and Patricia Wilson, who preceded her in death. She also mourns the loss of her brother, Jerry Wilson. Patty’s nurturing spirit was evident from her early years, and her commitment to family only grew stronger over time. On December 30, 1966, she married the love of her life, Steve Robertson, and together they shared a beautiful journey of 58 years. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and partnership.
As a devoted mother, Patty poured her heart into raising her daughters, Christy and Tracy, and she delighted in the moments spent with her extended family. Her brothers and sisters in law became not only family but true friends. Christy’s husband, James Jones, and Tracy’s husband, Jeremy Webb, were embraced as sons. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Cody Jones, along with his partner Melanie Jagdeo; Emily Gordon and her husband Hank; Ryan Webb and his wife Monica, Sarah Webb and Laura Webb. Patty's great-grandchildren, Bruce and Calvin Gordon, All of her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her immense joy and pride, and they will carry forward her loving spirit.
Patty’s professional life was marked by dedication and service. For many years, she embraced the role of a stay-at-home mom, actively participating in her daughters' lives through Girl Scouts, volunteering at schools, and even working as a substitute teacher. Later Patty became a Clerical Administrator for the State of Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles, where she served for over 25 years until her retirement in 2009.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Patty was a woman of many interests. An avid reader since childhood, she found joy in autobiographies, historical fiction, inspirational literature, and cookbooks. Her home was her sanctuary, and she loved to decorate it beautifully throughout the year, with a special fondness for Christmas and Easter. She took great pride in her appearance, always presenting herself with dignity and style.
Patty was known for her strong, capable, and independent spirit. Her reliability and loyalty were unmatched, and her creative touch brought warmth and beauty into the lives of those who knew her. She was orderly and organized, traits that greatly influenced her family and friends, who admired her dedication to making every moment count.
A funeral service to honor Patty's life will be held on March 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Palms Funeral Home. All who knew and loved her are invited to attend and celebrate the remarkable life of a woman who touched so many hearts.
Patty Jo Robertson will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
