Paul Anthony Heinig

January 14, 1939 — July 30, 2017

Paul Anthony Heinig A celebration of Paul's life will be held at The Wursthaus 102 This Way St. Lake Jackson, TX 77566 on September 9, 2017 at 6pm. The celebration will be open to all of his family and friends who wish to pay their last respects. A loving husband, father, grandfather, friend and mentor, Paul was 78 years old when he passed away on the evening of July 29, 2017. He was a 1957 graduate of St. Xavier High School in Louisville, Ky and attended the University of Louisville. He served 6 years active duty in the United States Coast Guard and served 35 years in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. His greatest love was his family, however being in a boat on the water was his second. Although the family is devastated by their loss, they take comfort in the fact that Paul was doing what he loved, sailing in the Gulf of Mexico, when the good Lord called him. Paul was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Eugene Robert Heinig and Florence Venhoff. He is preceded in death by his sister Rebecca Ann Grether. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Carolyn Kane Heinig. His son Marc Heinig and his wife Patti, and daughter Morgan. His son Jason Heinig and his wife Tracy, son Peyton, and daughter Ainsley. His brother Eugene Robert Heinig Jr. And his sister Joan Sirek and numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Palms Funeral Home ~ Angleton, Texas 979-849-4343.
