Paul Edward Bonneau

March 21, 1937 — May 8, 2020

Paul Edward Bonneau went to be with our Lord and Savior on May 8, 2020 with his eldest daughter by his side. He was 83 years old. Paul was born on March 21, 1937 to Paul Emile Bonneau and Inez Marie Collins Bonneau in Angleton, Texas. He lived as a young man in Brazoria County Texas until 1965. He then moved to Deer Park, Texas where he raised three children who loved him beyond measure. In the latter part of his life he lived in Anacoco, Louisiana. He was always in his element when he was outdoors. One of his lifelong dreams was to retire on a large plot of land where he could raise his many animals. Paul retired from Brown & Root as a Senior Piping Designer after being in the Engineering field of Drafting and Pipe Design for over 50 years. Even after his retirement he was called upon as a consultant for them and traveled extensively. He excelled in anything he put his mind to. He was an excellent bowler who bowled multiple 300 games throughout his life. One of his favorite activities was competing on the golf course with his family. It was all about the bragging rights. Paul was an avid hunter and enjoyed surf fishing with his dad back in the day. Among his many gifts were his carpentry skills, his ability to rebuild a car from front to back, and his "green thumb" that produced an abundant vegetable garden. As a teenager, racing cars was his passion. He had a reputation for always having the fastest and newest model sports cars. As his kids, one of our favorite memories of our dad was how he always entertained us, his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephew with his impeccable impersonation of Donald Duck. He could sing any song you asked for in a perfect Donald Duck voice. Dad was the kindest, most loving and gentle man. He was always willing to help anyone in need. These are just some of the many things he passed on to us. Paul was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Inez Bonneau, brother Donald Bonneau, sisters Mary Louise Garrett, JoAnn Bonneau, Pauline Sebesta, Marjorie Foudray and niece Kathy Hollier. He is survived by his wife Kelly Bonneau of Anacoco, Louisiana. He is also survived by his children Robin Bonneau MacArthur, Susan Bonneau Poe, Paul Gregory Bonneau and wife Allison. He is survived by 5 grandchildren: Jennifer Poe, Justin Poe (Haylie), Courtney Belcik (Michael), Adam Bonneau (Kelsie) and Kelvin Bonneau (Melanie). He had 7 great grandchildren: Bryan Poe, Chelsea Poe, Jacob Poe, Alyssa Poe, Logan Bonneau, Henry Belcik, Trevor Bonneau and one more Bonneau due in December of 2020. His surviving brothers and sisters are, Robert Bonneau (Joan), Jimmy Bonneau, Joyce Coley and Dorothy Finley (Chuck), and numerous nieces and nephews. Due to the current health and safety issues, Paul's funeral services will be private. Please contact family for any information. Service Details.
