Paul Ellis Greer, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the age of 81. Paul was born in Palestine, Texas on August 20, 1934 to Lee Alfred and Netta E. Greer. He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Alfred Greer; mother, Netta Elizabeth Eilenberger Greer; brother Lee Greer; and sister Jean Stephenson. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Jan Cooksey Greer, sons Mark Greer, wife Phyllis; David Greer, Michael Greer, wife Jennifer; Kelly Reedy, wife Nancy; daughters Kathleen Keese, husband Paul; Terry Bell; and Mindy Rives, husband Sean. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Paul worked for Dow Chemical Company for 35 years starting at the age of 17. He stayed active with various part time jobs after his retirement. He and his wife were very active members of the Angleton Band Boosters while their children were in school. He and his wife also were members of 1st Baptist Church of Angleton for many years until their move to Lake Jackson Manor, a senior living complex. They attended 2nd Baptist Church of Lake Jackson while living there. Paul served as a volunteer of the Texas Port Ministry for approximately 20 years. He truly enjoyed his Christian ministry to many men and women over the years from around the world. A memorial service for Paul is being held at Palms Funeral Home on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 1:00 p.m..
