Pedro Z. Martinez, Jr. Pedro Z. Martinez, 81, of Angleton passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at his residence. Funeral Services are set for Friday, June 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Clute, TX. A Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 6-7:00 p.m. at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Angleton, TX, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Pedro was born May 6, 1934 in Edna, Texas to Pedro & Carlota (Zambrano) Martinez, Sr. He owned and operated Pete's Chevron in Lake Jackson for 40 years. He sponsored the Lake Jackson Orioles Semi Pro Team for 2 years and the Lake Jackson Lobos for 8 years. Pedro loved his wife of 62yrs deeply, she was the love of his life. He was a fantastic husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and loved all of his family deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers; Richard, Victor & Gilbert Martinez. Jesse & John Manuel Zambrano & sister Louisa Palacios. Survivors include his wife Odelia Martinez, children; Odelia (Odie) Martinez, Raymond A. Martinez, Delores Innabi (Imad), Kenneth Martinez (Isabelle), Joe Martinez (Diana), Erica Barnes (Raymorris) & Randy Martinez. Brothers & sisters; Felix Martinez (Mary), Lupe Pena, Mary Montez, Alice Salazar (Juan Ybarra) 7 Sisters and 3 Brothers from his father's second family. 28 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren with 1 on the way & 1 Great Great-Grandchild with 1 on the way.. Pallbearers will be Joseph Mosqueda, Robert Vasquez, Jr., Gilbert Morales, Kenneth Martinez, Jr., Dallas Martinez, Joshua Martinez, Jacob Martinez and Jon Higginbotham.
