With deepest sorrow, we announce that Philip Hunter Rich, 32, of Angleton, Texas, our beloved son, father, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend to many passed away suddenly on December 16, 2020. Those who knew Philip Hunter lost a shining light in their lives. He was born on January 16, 1988 in Houston, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Angleton, Texas and graduated from Angleton High School. Philip will be missed everyday by his son Devon Anthony Rich of Angleton, Texas. His mother Cinda Goehring Rich and brother Joshua David Rich of Angleton, Texas. His grandmother Priscilla Shell Goehring of Melbourne, Arkansas; and Grandmother Charmaine Rich of Angleton, Texas. Uncles John (Karen) Rich of Lufkin, Texas; Mark (Lynn) Rich of Manvel, Texas; Paul (Kasey) Goehring of West Columbia, Texas and Larry (Jeanette) Belk of Danbury, Texas. Aunts Sandra Nelson, Linda (Berton) Finley; and Marcella Belk of Melbourne, Arkansas and numerous cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his father David Lee Rich and grandfather Charles Leon Rich. Philip Hunter believed the greatest thing he ever created was his son Devon Anthony Rich. He had a kind soul and loving heart. And loved making others laugh. He had a lifelong love of sports which began at age 4 and continued into high school. As a young boy he played baseball and basketball predominately coached by his beloved coach Jimmy Green. In junior high and high school football was added to that. He could tell you stats on any player in any league. Philip, along with his son Devon and brother Joshua were valiant warriors and fighters for their father David and grandfather when they became ill with cancer. Philip worked 1 years in Canada at Fort McMurray as well as many additional years locally and within the U.S. as well as Mexico and Puerto Rico as a lead operator for Fagioli, Inc. a heavy haul transportation company. His family will greatly mourn the loss of Philip Hunter. He was an irreplaceable member of his family. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, from 8:30 am to 10:00 am at Palms Funeral home in Angleton, Texas. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Angleton Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jonathan Reyna, Gary Frankum, Kenny Linares, Chris Barker, Steven Villarreal, and Joshua Wakins. "As long as we breathe you will be remembered, as long as we live you will b loved.
