Pleze Jefferson Beaty, “P.J.”, 95, of Angleton, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. He was born to his parents James and Marie Beaty in Bokchito, Oklahoma on May 12, 1929.
P.J. was a loving father, husband, and grandfather. His hobbies included ranching, re-engineering, inventing, problem solving, and providing his point of view in the weekly Facts newspaper. He always had a big giving heart for those down on their luck. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp stationed in Guam, as a Supply Specialist. He was a dedicated production foreman for Dow Chemical for 35 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents and stepfather Frank Olshovsky, his wife Shirley Beaty, one sister Ally Beaty and two brothers, Clyde Joe Beaty, and Billy John Beaty. Survived by his children: James E Peterson (Deborah), John Wayne Beaty (Terry), & Gail L. Williams all of Angleton; Glenn R Beaty of Pasadena and Carol S. Todd of Lake Jackson. Grandchildren: Heath Peterson (Wendy) of Nacogdoches, Amy Gregory (David) of Richwood, Blake Williams (Nicole) of Lake Jackson, Bethany Williams of Angleton, Laurissa Beaty (Brad) of Houston, Kyle Beaty of Texas City, John David Busch of Austin, Steven Mayon (Jenny) of Kingwood, & Jennifer Coogan of Angleton, 15 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandson. Funeral services are Monday, November 4, 2024, with visitation starting at 11:00 am and service to begin at 12:00 noon at Palms Funeral Home, Angleton Texas.
