Ramona Sadie Murphy February 25, 1921 ~ September 4, 2016 Ramona Sadie Murphy, 95, of Angleton, Texas passed away at her residence on Sunday, September 4, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born February 25, 1921 in Huckabay, Texas to Coke Cain and Dixie Queen (Gardner) Gentry. One of the things that made Ramona the proudest is that she served the Lord and taught Sunday school classes in her church for 65 years. She is preceded in death by her parents; Coke Cain and Dixie Queen (Gardner) Gentry, her husband, William Alec Murphy, her son, William Joel Murphy, her brother, Thurman Gentry and her sister, Catherine Perez. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Robert Murphy (wife, Marcella), her grandchildren; Nancy Murphy (husband, Joe Gomez), William Murphy, Robert Murphy, Jr., Michael Murphy (wife, Stephanie), Stephen Mitchell (wife, Wendy), and Scott Mitchell (wife, Jennifer). She is also survived by her 10 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Palms Funeral Home located at 2300 East Mulberry Angleton, Texas 77515 (979) 849-4343. The family welcomes friends for a time of visitation on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 in the evening at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. in the Earthman-Resthaven Cemetery located at 13102 North Freeway Houston, Texas 77070. Serving as pallbearers to escort Ramona to her final resting place will be; William Murphy, Robert Murphy, Jr., Mitchell Murphy, Stephen Mitchell, Scott Mitchell, and Little Bill Murphy. Ramona's honorary pallbearers are; David Robert and Joe Gomez.
