Ray Neal Butler

Ray Neal Butler, 54, of Alvin passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 in Houston. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2015 at Oak Park Funeral Home 300 Oak Park Drive Alvin, Texas. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster. Visitation will be from 5-8 on Thursday evening at Oak Park Funeral Home. Ray was born February 28, 1961 in Houston, Texas to Frank & Joanne (Williams) Butler. Ray grew up a cowboy. First and foremost he was a bull-rider. He loved riding bulls and everything about the cowboy way of life. This above all else was his life's passion. Ray's hobbies included fishing, flea (free) market shopping. Ray loved a "good deal"! Ray loved people and he enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family and friends, swapping stories. He was the best story teller and jokester. Ray was a certified pest control technician. He loved his job and his customers and he in return, was loved by them all. Ray was preceded in death by his father Frank Neal Butler and mother Joanne Hicks along with maternal & fraternal grandparents. Survivors include his wife Lorraine Butler of Alvin, his three children, Robert Ray, Rebecca Renee & Brittany Marann Butler, who he was so proud of. Stepmother, Dianne Butler, brothers; Steve Butler, Frank Butler, Scott Butler & wife Saleena & Cole Butler. Pallbearers will be Scott, Steve & Cole Butler, Monty Andrews, Scott & Eric Milam & Bob Cain. A Blood Drive in Ray's name will be held from 9-3 on Saturday March 21, 2015 at Cattleman's in Alvin, Texas. In lieu of usual remembrances, the family requests donations to Emma's Hugs and the Lymphoma Foundation at M.D. Anderson Hospital.
