Raymond Allen Stevens

Raymond Allen Stevens, 71 of Angleton passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012. He was born June 20, 1940 in Kerrville, Texas to Odell & Jewell Stevens. Ray graduated from Tivy High School in 1958 and served in the United States Navy from '58 until '61. He worked for Texas Instruments in Austin then Tracor Aerospace in Austin and spent the last ten years working for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Odell & Jewell Stevens and brothers, Robert James Stevens and John Burton Stevens. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Eileen Stevens of Angleton, daughter, Jill Meyer & husband, Jeff of Austin and their children, Natalie & Sophie; daughter, Jan Siegeler of Angleton and her, son Arlie of Austin; special daughter, Kristin Butler and her husband, Dion of Austin and her children, L.D. and Jacquelyn; siblings, Royce Lynn Stevens and wife, Linda of Warner Robbins, Georgia, and Nancy Billeiter & husband, David of Kerrville; sister-in-law, Karen Mutz and husband, Johnny of Bullverde, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas.
