Rebecca Ann 'Becky' Taterka

Mrs. Taterka age 61 of Angleton, Texas died June 18, 2016, in Galveston at UTMB. She was born November 1, 1954 in Victoria Texas to James and Sarah Ballew. Becky as her family and friends called her grew up in the Brazosport area and moved to East Texas as a young adult. Becky returned to Angleton in 2002 to help care for her mother and stayed in the area after her passing to remain close to her son and his family. She was preceded in death by her husband Jeffery Taterka; daughter Jennifer Taterka; and parents James and Sarah Ballew. Survivors include son Steve Taterka and wife Micki of Angleton; grandchildren Morgan, Tyler and Wade Taterka of Angleton; Ahlexcis Lackey of Bullard, Texas; and great grandchild Brynlee Longoria of Angleton. Visitation/Remembrance of Becky Taterka will be held at Palms Funeral Home on Wednesday June 22, 2016 from 2pm to 4pm for family and friends. In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to the Brazoria County flood victims.
