A celebration of the life of Reginald Elmo Brittain (Reg) will be held Tues, November 5th 10 am at Palms Funeral Home. Reg completed his earthly journey on Saturday, 2 Nov at the age of 69. By his decision and confession of faith he will continue his journey with our Lord in heaven. Reg Brittain was born at Memorial Hospital in Houston, TX on 11 Oct, 1944 to parents Reginald and Helen Brittain. Reginald's life and careers had provided him with travels all around the country and some overseas, but his heart always brought him home to Texas. He always referred to Danbury as his home where he lived for the last 11 years. Reg graduated from Danbury High School where he represented Danbury ISD numerous times for UIL State Competition and was recognized for several achievements in extemporaneous speaking. He went on from Danbury to attend Alvin Community College and then moved on to University of Texas, Austin where he studied Law. After attending college at UT, Reg volunteered for service in the US Army in September of 1967 and served until Jul of 1970, when he received an Honorable discharge. At his time of discharge, Reg had reached the grade of E5 (SP5) as a Finance Specialist. Reginald is a recognized veteran of the Vietnam conflict. Reg was an accomplished realtor who had completed his certification as a Real Estate Broker and went on to serve as a Real Estate Educator. He was an active member of the Houston Association of Realtors. Reg was a member of the Metropolitan Community Church of Austin, TX. Visitation services will be Monday, November 4th, 6-8pm at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, TX. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 5th, 10am at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, TX. Grave Side services will be at Washington National in Houston, TX. Reg is Survived by Mother Helen Brittain, Sister Marcella and George Thompson, Nephews Trevor Williams, Clint and April Williams, Blaine and Heidi Williams, Great Nieces and Nephews Cody, Ashleigh, Kevin, Kara, Abigail, Evan, Reganne, Carley, Payton, Grace, Collin, Aaron, Pricilla, Lillian and Great Great Niece and Nephew Ashton and Ava. Reg is preceded by Grandpa "Smitty" Smith, Grandmother Brittain, Father Reginald Brittain, Uncle "Bubba" Smith, Aunt Christine Smith, Uncle "Dub" Brittain and Aunt Idabel.
