Richard George Webster Sr.

June 10, 1945 — July 14, 2021

Richard George Webster Sr. 76 of Angleton TX was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 14 after a short illness. Richard's life journey began on June 10, 1945 when he was born to Richard and Elizabeth Webster. He grew up in a large musical family of 4 brothers and 7 sisters. Richard proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and then he married the love of his life, Nona (Kelsey) Webster on December 22, 1973 fulfilling his purpose as a husband and father. With 8 children and his honorary son/grandson Tyler, Richard was blessed beyond measure. He was a proud Grandpa to 23 Grandchildren and a "Bompa" to 3 great grandchildren. Anyone who knew Richard knows that he was an incredible musician who could play his favorite Fender guitar like no other. He was an avid sports enthusiast who loved Syracuse Basketball, the Buffalo Bills and his Yankees. Richard was a true outdoorsman who could spend hours upon hours out fly fishing on Black River, but his biggest impact was to his family, friends and community. Richard never met a stranger, and he always had time to crack a joke or sing a silly song to put a smile on someone's face when they needed one. Richard is survived by Nona Webster, his loving wife of 48 years, his children Cheri Gaston, James Webster, Kristine Bartlett, Rhonda Hardcastle, Darren Webster, Sandra Morales, and Beth Rader and their families, also his sisters Ruth McDougall, Claudette Nellenback, Christine Martin, Janet Favret, Renita Hance, and his brother Eric Webster along with their families. Richard was proceeded in death by his parents Richard Earl Webster and Elizabeth (Vollmar) Webster, his siblings Stanley Webster, Karen Clark, David Webster, Marilyn Wood, James (Jimmy) Webster, his son Richard George Webster Jr. and also his grandchildren Alyssa Nicole Hubbell and Caleb Austin Hubbell. While Richard will be dearly missed, he would want everyone to know that he was more than prepared and eager to meet his Lord and Savior and to be reunited with his loved ones.
