Richard Allen Steed

January 23, 1948 – January 18, 2025

On January 18th, 2025 at 1:46 a.m., Richard (Rick) Allen Steed passed away at Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston, Texas. Rick was 76 years old at his passing. Rick was born to A.R. and Mildred Steed in January 23, 1948.

He was an electrician for over 30 years in Brazoria County. He worked for Buchanan Electric in Brazoria, Texas at the time of his passing. He was a drummer, he played with several bands including Angels and Outlaws of Harlingen, Texas. He also played with Dusty and Rocky Hill (American Blues Band) for two years.

Rick is survived by his wife Leanna Steed; children Karri Dry, Richard (Quinn) Steed, Tabatha Roy, Edward Baca, Joseph Baca, Gene Baca, Justin Baca. 22 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and is going to be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Friday January 31st, 2025 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home with a service following at 2 p.m.
