Richard Rummelhart

A memorial service for Richard Rummelhart, 53 will be held at 6p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25,2012, at Palms Funeral Home with Rhonda Boykin officiating. He passed away at his home in Angleton. Richard was born on January 21, 1959 to Mel and Verna Rummelhart in Pharr, Texas. He went to school, worked and lived most of his life in Brazoria County. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, grilling outdoors, and camping. He loved spending time with his beloved Philicia McCall and pets K.C. Guy and Tinker. Richard spent the last seven years as a tank car unloader in Shintech for Excel Maintenance. Richard is survived by his beloved Philicia McCall, mother; Verna Rummelhart, one bother; Randy Rummelhart, a half sister; Jane of McAllen and half brother; Steve of Wyoming, a brother-in-law; Tim Boykin of Brownwood, childhood friend; Nicky Deleon of Wisconsin and many, many, friends from Shintech. Although not entirely or officially, Richard and Philicia were together most of nine years. Richard was considered a member of Philicia's family. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Mel Rummelhart and step-son Cody Karnes.
