In Loving Memory of Richard Talmadge Hammons December 31, 1954 ~ May 27, 2017 Richard Talmadge Hammons, 62, of Angleton passed to his permanent home with Jesus Christ on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at his home after a lengthy illness. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 under the pavilion at Angleton Cemetery located at 328 Cemetery Road Angleton, Texas 77515. The family welcomes friends for a time of visitation on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. His love in life was his family with a special place in his heart for his nephews and nieces. A simple man who loved the Lord, his family and working in the garage even though he was in pain most of his life. He is now celebrating his pain free life with Jesus and we are celebrating and thankful he was a party of our lives for 62 years. We love you Rick and will miss you terribly! He was preceded in death by sister, Bobbie Hammons and parents; Bobby and Fran Hammons. Survivors include sister and brother in law Janice and Eddie Bell of Danbury and brother and sister in law Phillip and Julie Hammons of Angleton. Nephews Chris Allen of Conroe, and David (Michelle) Bell of Danbury. Nieces Tia Dye (Eric) of Angleton and LeeAnn (Nicholas) Otto of Danbury. Great nephews Cole and Darren Dye, Henry Otto and Wyatt Bell. Great nieces Madi Dye, Hattie Bell, and Holly Otto. Many Aunts, Uncles and cousins whom he loved dearly. Also survived by lifelong friend Jim Ed Powell. Thank you for your friendship, all your visits, and words of encouragement. A special Thanks to his caregivers from Caring Senior Services, Bessie, Crayton, Urcell, Caroline and Marsha. You will always have a special place in our hearts! And thank you to Helping Hands and Hearts Hospice who made this journey a little more comforting.
