Richard Wayne Hutchinson

Richard Wayne Hutchinson, 74, of Angleton passed on June 12th. He was born in Sulfur Springs on January 2, 1947, graduated from Angleton High School, and married his life long sweetheart, Debora Sue Wehrly on August 4, 1967. He was a member of the Reddlemen band in his youth and continued playing guitar throughout his life. He was a proud veteran, having served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He held an Associates Degree and worked most of his career as a piping designer, finally retiring to have more time with his family. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren fishing and camping. He was a Christian who lived out his faith in a quiet way. He was preceded in death by his father Skillman Hutchinson, his mother, Lena Hutchinson, his brother, Robert Hutchinson, and his granddaughter, LB O'Sheaghnessy. He is survived by his wife: Debora Hutchinson; his daughters: Sandi Robinson, Susan O'Sheaghnessy and her husband Thomas O'Sheaghnessy, and Elizabeth Kurtz and her husband Anthony Kurtz; his grandchildren: Austin Lutz; Devin and Makayla Talley, Emily and Tyler Kurtz, and Mackenzie O'Sheaghnessy; his niece, Nichole Tyler; and his nephews: Rusty Wehrly and Clint Wehrly. There will be a gathering at Palm's Funeral Home, in Angleton, Texas, on Thursday, June 17. Guests may come and pay their respects any time between 10a.m. and 12 p.m. Service Details.
