Rick Lynn Myers

It is with great sorrow the family of Rick Lynn Myers, 64, of Angleton, Texas, announces that he passed away, on Tuesday, August 10,2021. He is preceded in death by his father, Leonard Newton Myers and infant daughter, Allison Amber Myers. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Shirley Marie Lovell, his brother, Jason Scott Myers, his children Yawndie Burch and her husband Delbert, Straton Myers and his wife Kristy, and Ren Myers. His grandchildren that will hold on to his memory are Lane Burch, Kameron Burch, Kayla Burch, Hunter Taylor, Savannah Burch, Greyson Myers, and Rylan Myers. Rick was born in Center, Texas on December 29,1956. He enjoyed building race trucks and cars, teaching friends and those of his sons that wanted to be apart and enjoyed racing. If you were around the area in the 80's and you knew the mud truck "Footloose" you would have known Rick. He was a mentor for many and never met a stranger. So many would come to him for information, advice, and instruction. He gave all. He would not want anyone to be sad but to celebrate life every day. There will be a memorial at a later date.
