Our beloved husband and father, Robert Daniel Roy, Jr. of Danbury, Tx has passed away gently to the arms of his savior Jesus Christ.

Dan was a New Years baby, born to Mary and Bob Roy on January 1, 1944 in Texarkana, Arkansas the oldest of four children. He grew up on the Texas side of Texarkana, joined the Navy when he turned 17 years old and served on the USS John S. McCain.

After his service years he met and married his wife of 54 years, Sylvia Kay Toon. They had two sons, Daniel and Beau, and he loved his boys dearly.

He retired from Lyondell in 2004.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Joe and Richard and his sister Cecilia Henderson. His mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kenneth and Cherie Toon, sister-in-law Marcella Hairell, cousin Joy Spiller, Aunt and Uncle Hermonie and Buddy O'Donnell and his son Daniel.

He is survived by his wife Kay Roy, son Beau Roy and wife Jessica, his beloved grandchildren Gavin, Lainey and Addie Roy. Nieces and nephews Staci Graham, Stephanie Osborn, Michael Roy, Adam Henderson. Cousins Rene & John Harmon, Margaret & Carol Turner.

Brothers & sister-in-Laws Ken & Shiree Toon, Rickey Hairell, Nieces, nephews and cousins Nikki Vineyard & Bruce Crockett, Sarah & Jason Gartman, Jason Kimball, Heather & Ric Garcia, Travis & Melissa Toon, Zach & Kendall Toon Kent, Rickey & Candice Richardson Hairell, Dane & Sandi Hairell Crader.

A Visitation will take place at Palms Funeral Home at 9:00 am Saturday, August 5 with Memorial service conducted by James Flora, following at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations to the Pregnancy Help Center, Lake Jackson, Tx or South Texas Children's Ministry's, Beeville, Tx

We would like to thank Choice Hospice and especially Bella who helped in so many ways and also our friends and family that prayed for him faithfully.
